Ace writer and poet Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is facing the worst time of his life and he is considering different options including leaving his home country Pakistan after his abduction and viral video leak.
Mere Paass Tum Ho writer appeared in a recent interview with a TV channel, as he opened up about the deep struggle he is experiencing while he also opened up about leaving the country for good.
He mentioned loving Pakistan more than anything, as his voice filled with emotion. He added “But now, I find myself questioning whether I should stay here. Never did I think such thoughts would cross my mind, but these people have made me doubt my place.”
I pray to Allah for the strength to endure this because I can’t imagine living without this soil, he further mentioned.
Qamar also shared that he is waiting for court’s decision on case and is committed to seeing justice served. “I am awaiting the verdict and will ensure that these wrongdoers face consequences, no matter where I have to go to achieve that.”
When asked if he would change anything in his life, Khalil said “I would choose to live in a place where people treat each other with respect. This is a new thought for me, one I hadn’t considered before. I have always been grateful, and Allah has blessed me with so much. What more could I ask for?”
Qamar’s heartfelt words have sparked a broader conversation about the challenges of public life and the emotional toll it can take, even on those who appear most resilient.
