The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) celebrated International Youth Day with a vibrant event at the Fatima Jinnah Auditorium, located at the PRCS National Headquarters, on Monday. The event was attended by PRCS staff, representatives from Red Cross Red Crescent Movement partners, students from various educational institutions, and a large number of volunteers.

International Youth Day, observed annually on August 12, highlights the contributions of young people to societal development and raises awareness of the challenges they face.

In his address, PRCS Chairman SardarShahid Ahmed Laghari remarked, “On this International Youth Day, we stand with the global community in celebrating the remarkable achievements of our youth.

This year’s theme, ‘From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,’ emphasizes the vital role that digital literacy and innovation play in building a more equitable and sustainable future.”

Chairman Laghari affirmed PRCS’s commitment to creating an environment where youth can thrive, innovate, and lead.
