Justice Abid Aziz takes oath as LHC acting CJ

LAHORE – Justice Abid Aziz of the Lahore High Court on Saturday took oath as acting chief justice.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Lahore High Court, where Justice Shahid Karim administered the oath to Justice Abid Aziz.

The ceremony was attended by Justices Shams Mahmood Mirza, Rasail Hassan Syed, and Justice Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir.

Also present at the event were Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Shahbaz Rizvi, Advocate General Punjab Khalid Ishaq, Vice Chairman of the Punjab Bar Council Babar Waheed, President of the Lahore Bar Munir Ahmed Bhatti, and President of the Lahore High Court Bar Asad Manzoor Butt.

Chief Justice Alia Neelam is currently abroad and will return by August 25.
