ISLAMABAD – More monsoon rains are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper parts of Pakistan. They will likely penetrate the central parts of the country tomorrow. A westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, more intermittent monsoon rains are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in Kashmir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Pothohar Region on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday. Rains are also likely at isolated places in northeast/central Balochistan, central/south Punjab and southeast/upper Sindh. Heavy falls may occur at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Kashmir during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Friday and Saturday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, monsoon rains with isolated heavy falls occurred in Islamabad, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Chilas was recorded at 44°C, and Dalbandin at 43°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 96 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 83 per cent.
