Paying rich tributes to young revolutionary students of Bangladesh for toppling Dictator HadinaWazed, Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman AltafShakoor here Wednesday asked to revive student’s politics in Pakistan to boot out the economic hitmen working under the cover of politics and save the country.

He said the suggestion of the Bangladeshi students to include noted economist Muhammad Yunus of Grameen Bank in new government set-up is a good omen as only the local patriotic economic experts could save the country, adding imported experts and bankers in fact are the economic hitmen of the sending countries that come here with the agenda to destroy the local economy and further tighten the debt trap around the neck of the poor people. AltafShakoor said all illegal and illogical quota systems should be abolished. He said cruel rural-urban quota in Sindh must be abolished before the students of Sindh take to the streets.

He said this is high time to promote merits and end quotas. He said all government recruitments should be made through public service commission’s and necessary amendments should be brought in this regard immediately. The time of political appointments has ended now and it is time to introduce merit-bases recruitments in Pakistan. AltafShakoor said that Dictator ZiaulHaq banned students’ politics and it was a great tragedy. He said student unions are the nurseries of politics and all political parties should revive their student’s wings. He said we need young blood to lead this country.

He said the Bangladeshi students have proved that the youth can bring a revolution. He said Pakistan also needs a revolution and our students and youths should come forward to change the destiny of this nation.

He hoped that the youths of Pakistan would get inspiration from the successful struggle of the Bangladeshi students and replicate it in our country to save it from corrupt political mafias and economic hitmen that are systematically destroying our economy.
