The Arts  Council of  Pakistan Karachi (ACP) marked Youm-e-Istehsal (Kashmir Siege Day) with a poignant photo exhibition at the HaseenaMoin Hall, focusing on the human rights abuses and severe conditions in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. Provincial Minister for Information, Labour& Human Resources, SaeedGhani, inaugurated the event, accompanied by Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah and Resident Director of District Central, Bashir Sadozai. The exhibition drew considerable public interest, showcasing powerful images of individuals—elders, children, and youth—resisting the ongoing oppression and documenting their resilience.

SaeedGhani underscored the parallel struggles faced by Palestinians and Kashmiris, emphasizing the escalation of oppression in Kashmir since August 5, 2019, when India revoked the region’s special status.  He called attention to the global silence on these issues and warned that continued inaction could jeopardize global peace, urging major world powers to take responsibility for halting these atrocities.

Ghani’s remarks resonated with the exhibition’s theme, reinforcing Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Kashmir and emphasizing that the struggle for justice continues.
