Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leaders have called on global powers to take immediate notice of the ongoing atrocities in Kashmir, marking August 5, 2019, as a pivotal day when India revoked the region’s autonomy. Sardar Abdul Rahim and Dr. SafdarAbbasi, speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, strongly condemned India’s constitutional amendment that stripped occupied Kashmir of its special status. Accompanied by GDA leaders Abdul Karim Sheikh, Barrister ArshadSharBaloch, Syed NaveedNoori, Syed Khurram Shah, AllahyarBaloch, SaharMumtaz, and others, Abbasi and Rahim emphasized that Kashmir should be granted complete freedom in line with United Nations resolutions.

They criticized Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi, predicting his eventual ouster due to his controversial actions, drawing a parallel to the fate of Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh.

The GDA leaders accused the Indian government of violating its own constitution and international laws by abolishing Kashmir’s autonomy, a provision established since 1947. Modi was described as a “bloodthirsty beast” responsible for the Gujarat riots, where thousands of Muslims were killed. Highlighting the severe human rights abuses, the GDA leaders reported that more than thirty thousand Kashmiri youths have been abducted under the guise of military operations. Despite India’s division of Jammu and Kashmir into three regions, the leaders asserted that the Kashmiri people remain defiant against India’s oppressive rule.

They commemorated BurhanMuzaffarWani, a prominent figure in the Kashmir freedom struggle, and declared August 5 as a day of reckoning for India.
