Chief Secretary Sindh, Syed AsifHyder Shah, has mandated heightened vigilance from all divisional commissioners and Rescue 1122 teams across the province following recent heavy rains. Emergency protocols have been activated in local government bodies and the health department to swiftly address any potential rain-related incidents.

The Chief Secretary has directed the PDMA to ensure the availability of emergency equipment, machinery, dewatering pumps, and staff so that the drainage of rainwater from urban areas can be efficiently managed. He further stated that all relevant departments should maintain constant contact with the Meteorological Department to stay informed about the weather conditions.

He also instructed K-Electric, SEPCO, and HESCO to ensure a continuous power supply to facilitate the timely drainage of water. The Chief Secretary emphasized that all departments should complete their preparations and respond promptly to any emergency situation. Citizens are also urged to follow precautionary measures and contact the relevant authorities in case of any emergency.
