UAE: Expected petrol prices for August – Check rates in your city today

DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates’ Fuel Price Committee is all set to announce the new petrol and diesel prices for August 2024 amid prediction of hike in petroleum rates.

The committee revises the petrol prices at the end of every month to keep them align with the global prices.

The predictions for increase in petroleum prices are based on the rising global oil prices. In international market, the average oil prices recorded around $84 a barrel in July as compared to $82.6 a barrel in June․

Brent crude oil was traded above $85 a barrel during the first half of July but dropped to $79.77 a barrel on Monday evening.

Current Petrol Prices in Dubai, other UAE Cities

In July, the price of Super 98 stands at 2.99 AED per litre while Special 95 is being sold for 2.88 AED per litre and E-Plus 91’s rate stands at 2.80 AED a litre.

Expected UAE Petrol Rates in August 2024

UAE citizens and residents, who used to travel long distance for their jobs or businesses, and cargo companies closely monitor the petrol prices as they are directly impacted by them.

As the global prices have seen upward trend, the UAE government is expected to announce an increase in petrol prices for August 2024.

New prices will be shared here as soon as these are revealed by the fuel price committee.
