A large number of Pakistanis work in United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as these workers contribute significantly to Gulf nation’s economies and send substantial remittances back to the homeland.

KSA, UAE issues warning to Pakistani workers

Amid recent developments, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh issued warning about Pakistani expatriates and their labor force.

The development surfaced in Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis meeting in which officials mentioned that Gulf nations raised concerns about Pakistani workers. Severa residents of Asian nation are involved in begging and other illegal activities in these countries.

With the rise in crimes, UAE, and Saudi Arabia warned Islamabad not to send these people. Several beggars of Pakistani roots also plaques other countries like Iraq.

Dubai and other states saw increase in Pakistani workers, with new concerns about overstaying visas and criminal behavior. Pakistani workers in Iraq endure tough conditions, and many in Malaysia face imprisonment for overstaying.

Sources familiar with development claimed that further increase in such crimes could increase in visa rejections for Pakistanis.
