LAHORE – The federal school authorties have announced new timings for all schools after the end of summer vacations 2024, with educational institutions starting at 7:30 am to 1:30 pm in weekdays.
An update shared by Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) announced new school timings for schools, effective August 5 after the summer vacations.
New School Timings in Islamabad

| Single-shift Schools | 7:30 am – 1:30 pm | 7:30 am – 12:30 pm |
| Evening Shifts | 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm | 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm |
As per recent update, single-shift schools will start at 7:30 am to 1:30 pm (Mon-Thu) and 7:30 am to 12:30 pm (Fri).
For evening shifts, classes will start at 2 pm to 7 pm (Mon-Thu) and 2:30 pm to 7 pm (Friday).
For the unversed, summer holidays in Islamabad schools were extended until August 4 due to extreme heat.
Other regions including Sindh and Balochistan also extended their summer holidays amid hot and humid weather in the country.
