Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Friday declared in a categorical tone that no operation would be allowed in the province that was independent to make its own decisions.

“In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa no operations will be permitted. No one else can make our decisions, we will make them ourselves. Everyone listen! We will not ask for peace; we will take peace. I swear I will stand with the people for truth, peace and justice. No one can oppress us on the land of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the firebrand CM KP announced while addressing a peace Jirga in restive Bannu.

Ali Amin Gandapur who presided over the meeting of KP apex committee a day earlier, however, firmly declared that no armed group or individual should act on behalf of any organization within the province. He emphasized the importance of respecting and supporting the families of martyrs, highlighting their sacrifices for the country.

During his address to the peace gathering (Aman Jalsa), Gandapur said that all the demands presented by BannuAman Committee have been approved by the Apex Committee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the Apex Committee in its meeting held day before, has  thoroughly discussed each and every point of the peace committee and accepted all the demands as per aspirations of the people. If there is a dearth of anything in this regard, it will also be entertained, he added.
Gandapur while granting authority to the police to act against drug dealers and made it clear that decisions for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be made locally.
“Don’t leave the drug dealers, I am with you” he asked police saying where there is suspicion of miscreants, the police will take action. He said we may have differences in personality, but I feel pain about the wrong things said about the martyrs.
“We will make sacrifices for this country but on our own terms. We left our homes, became nomads, and faced hardships in other provinces. Despite our reservations about the behavior we encountered in other provinces, we remain firm”. CM KP observed.
He lamented that the people of KP suffered due to wrong policies and funds were taken in their name adding we have reservations about that too. He said sacrifice is in our blood, and we will still sacrifice for this country.
