Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan weather update; isolated rains expected

ISLAMABAD – Rains and gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper/central parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, rains and gusty winds are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, Pothohar Region, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and northeast Balochistan on Friday night and Saturday.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in Islamabad, Pothohar region, Northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.

Dalbandin remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46°C. Maximum temperature in Jacoababad and Chilas was recorded at 45°C, and Sibbi at 44°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 96 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 per cent.
