KARACHI – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Wednesday evening/night.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate eastern parts of Pakistan at lower tropospheric level. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts.
Under these conditions, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of province on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday.
However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Sanghar, Karachi, Tharparkar and Badin on Wednesday evening/night.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Thursday and 36-38°C on Friday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 39-41°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of the province during the last 24 hours. However, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred at isolated places.

Jacobabad remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 43°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 73 per cent.
