KARACHI – More rains and gusty winds are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate upper/central parts of Pakistan. A trough of westerly wave also prevails over upper/central parts of the country.
Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Jamshoro, Mithi, Sanghar, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Dadu, Larkana and Sajawal on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday and Thursday, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Sanghar, Karachi, Thatta and Badin during evening/night.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 39-41°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of the province during the last 24 hours. However, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in Karachi and parts of Sindh.

Jacobabad remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 43°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 70 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
