LAHORE – Rains and gusty winds are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Saturday and Sunday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrates central/southern parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh and Kot Addu on Saturday and Sunday. Heavy falls are also likely at isolated places in southern districts.
Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in central/southern parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Bahawalpur, Khanpur and Rahim Yar Khan remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 54 per cent.
