ISLAMABAD – Rainfall of varying intensities is predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Saturday and Sunday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrates central/southern parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central/south Punjab, Sindh and northeast/south Balochistan on Saturday and Sunday. Rain-wind/thunderstorms are also predicted at isolated places in northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Heavy falls are likely at isolated places in south Punjab, northeast Balochistan and southeast/upper Sindh during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36-38°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and northeast Balochistan. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Dalbandin, Dadu and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Maximum temperature in Bahawalpur, Khanpur and Rahimyar Khan was recorded at 43°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 66 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 47 per cent.
