COLOMBO – The Women’s T20 Asia Cup will begin on Friday (today) in Sri Lanka.
The inaugural match would be between the teams of UAE and Nepal, while in the second match, Pakistan and India women would face each other.
According to details, the Women’s T20 Asia Cup under the auspices of the Asian Cricket Council would officially start on Friday (today). The opening match would be played in the city of Dambulla, Sri Lanka, where the women’s teams of Nepal and UAE would compete. The second match would be between traditional rivals Pakistan and India.
On Thursday, the trophy for the event was unveiled.
During the team photo session, the players also performed a magnificent dance. The national cricket team also participated in a practice session in Dambulla, where the women players worked hard on batting, bowling, and fielding to overcome their weaknesses.
Pakistan team captain Nida Dar while speaking to the media said that playing against India is a good experience and they would enter the field with a positive mindset.
The players worked hard in the training camp in Karachi. The Indian team game style is aggressive.
On the other hand, Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that whether or not there is a bilateral series is not in her control. They always enjoyed playing against Pakistan. They wanted to play good cricket against every team and would play good cricket here as well.
