Paid Internships launched by Punjab govt to curb smog; Apply Now

Smog affects Punjab residents for quite some time, and nobody is safe from air pollution. The provincial government has rolled out a paid internship program to deal with serious situation.

The government of Punjab announced Chief Minister Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme, which is dubbed Mera Punjab Smog Free, offering graduates to apply for Rs25,000 scholarship.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stressed need for collective action to permanently eliminate air pollution. The Smog-Free Punjab Initiative will engage graduates in community service.

Punjab Smog Internship Program

Graduates who have completed their degrees in the past two years are eligible to apply.

An amount of twenty five thousand Rs25,000 monthly stipend will be given to internees. Registration for internship programme is open until July 20, 2024, and is available to individuals aged 18 to 25 years.

For unversed, participants will receive ‘Community Service Certificate’ upon completion.
