After multiple relief on petroleum products, the federal government has jacked up petrol and diesel prices by Rs9.99 and Rs6.18 per litre, from July 16, 2024.

New Petrol Price in Pakistan

Fuel Types Price
Petrol Rs275.60
High-Speed Diesel Rs283.63

Ministry of Finance issued a notification, according to which the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 9.99 paise per litre, with the new price set Rs275.60 paise per litre. The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 6.18 per liter and the new price is Rs 283.63 paise per litre.

The increase in petrol prices is linked to the recent trends in the international oil market. In the coming days, the government will impose an additional petroleum levy of Rs5, further contributing to the price hike.

In this year’s budget, the government raised the petroleum levy on petrol and diesel to Rs80 per litre, leading to a substantial surge in fuel prices.
