ISLAMABAD – More monsoon rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, more monsoon rains and gusty winds are expected in the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast/Central Punjab, Potohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Northeast Balochistan on Friday night and the next two days.
Heavy falls may also occur at a few places in Kashmir, Northeast/Central Punjab, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Northeast Balochistan.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Saturday and 32-34°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls occurred in Islamabad, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan and Larkana during the last 24 hours.

Dadu remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46°C. Maximum temperature in Sibbi, Jacobabad and Dalbandin was recorded at 45°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 68 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 55 per cent.
