Pakistani fighter jets escort Azeri President Ilham Aliyev’s plane in grand welcome

ISLAMABAD – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Pakistan on an official visit, and upon his arrival, a formation of fighter aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) escorted his plane.

Pakistan Air Force fighter jets greeted the presidential plane upon entering Pakistani airspace, escorting it to its landing. At the Noor Khan Air Force base, a guard of honor awaited, with national flags of both nations raised in honor of President Aliyev.

A ceremonial cannon fire saluted Azerbaijani president while Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to Ilham Aliyev.

PM Shehbaz also hosted a formal reception in capital city to honor Azerbaijan President. A well-presented contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces provided a guard of honor to the distinguished guest. President Ilham Aliyev received a warm and enthusiastic welcome in Pakistan.
