Dar-e-Arqam, Lahore Centre among 12 premises sealed in Lahore

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against illegal commercial use in Lahore.

On Thursday, LDA teams sealed 12 businesses in Faisal Town and Model Town Extension for not paying commercialisation fees of tens of millions of rupees. The sealed premises included Dar-e-Arqam School, Lahore Centre, a dental clinic, showroom, saloons and private offices.

LDA Director Town Planning Zone-III Sidra Tabassum supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of enforcement teams and Police. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments, and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
