Sindh Local Government Minister and President of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division, SaeedGhani, announced that PPP will hold a grand public rally in Karachi after Muharram. He emphasized that all newly appointed district officials should focus on strengthening the party in Karachi and recruiting new members. Ghani made these remarks while presiding over a crucial meeting of PPP Karachi Division at the People’s Secretariat on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Sindh PPP General Secretary and Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Syed Waqar Mehdi, MirzaMaqbool, Khalid Sabzwari, ZulfiqarQaimkhani, Deputy Information Secretary Asif Khan, ShakeelChaudhry, and all newly elected district presidents, senior vice presidents, general secretaries, and information secretaries. Representatives from various PPP wings including Youth, Student Federation, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineering, and Minority also participated. SaeedGhani led a prayer for the departed souls of the party’s martyrs, particularly the two workers from District Korangi who were recently martyred.
The new office-bearers introduced themselves and expressed their gratitude towards Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, FaryalTalpur, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and SaeedGhani, reiterating their commitment to making the party more active and stronger in Karachi. Ghani urged all officials to ensure party discipline and focus on strengthening the party in the city. He praised the efforts of former officials in stabilizing the party and instructed the new office-bearers to enhance public engagement in their respective districts daily. He mentioned that preparations for the upcoming cantonment board elections, scheduled for next year, should begin immediately, and a meeting will be called soon to discuss the strategy. Ghani acknowledged the existence of differing opinions within the party and said it is a sign of a healthy organization.
Highlighting the increased responsibilities of the new office-bearers, he emphasized the importance of including disgruntled members in their efforts. Ghani concluded by announcing that a grand rally will be organized by the Karachi Division after Muharram
