PESHAWAR – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday night and the next two days.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Waziristan and Kurram on Wednesday night and the next two days. Isolated heavy falls are also predicted during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls occurred in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Bannu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ismail Khan was recorded at 41°C.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 percent.
