ISLAMABAD – IPP leader Jahangir Khan Tareen resigned from the party’s leadership and stepped away from politics altogether, and now he is apparently focusing business as his sugar mills secured highest sugar export quota.
A notification issued by Cane Commissioner stated that government of Punjab allocated sugar export quotas based on sugar production rate. JDW Group, Tareen’s corporation specialising in manufacturing and sale of sugar and several other products, received export quota of 10,783 tons out of the total 96,000 tons of sugar.
Data shared online shows JDW Sugar Mills on top while Hamza Sugar Mills got quota of 6535 tons, Madina Sugar Mills got 3,790 tons, and Ramadan Sugar Mills remain under 3000 tons.
