Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, inaugurated the 1294th annual Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi. He placed a ceremonial cloth on the saint’s shrine and prayed for the nation’s prosperity and resolution of its issues. Following the prayers, Governor Tessori distributed clothes, water, juice, and food among the devotees.
In his address to the media, the Governor expressed optimism that Pakistan would soon achieve economic stability, crediting the prayers made in honor of the revered saint. He also prayed for relief from the severe heat and for rain in Karachi and across the province. Tessori mentioned the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Army Chief in attracting investment through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Responding to a question, the Governor highlighted the significant impact of climate change on Pakistan over the past two years.
He also announced the upcoming visit of the spiritual leader of the Bohra community to Pakistan, which is expected to boost economic activity in Karachi with the arrival of over 50,000 followers. Governor Tessori shared his recent efforts in Islamabad to promote economic stability, including meetings with several ambassadors.
He received assurances of substantial investment in Sindh from the UAE ambassador, as well as strong support from the Turkish ambassador. Investors from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and other countries are also expected to invest, creating job opportunities and fostering prosperity. The Governor emphasized the need for K-Electric to end unannounced load shedding during the intense heat.
