Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a Task Force on Education to work on issues related to national education emergency. According to a notification issued on Monday, the task force will be chaired by Prime Minister himself while its members will include Federal Minister for Education & Professional Training, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Secretary Education (Convener) Muhayyudin Wani, Provincial Ministers, Provincial Secretaries of Education, Country Head, World Bank (co-convener), Country Head, Asian Development Bank, Head of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Resident Representative, UNICEF, Country head, UNESCO, Country head, WFP, Country Chief, JICA. The task force will also include Amjad Saqib, Chairman, Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, Shakeel Durrani, CEO, GIK Institute, Mr. Fareed Panjwani, Agha Khan University, Syed Asad Ayub, The Citizen Foundation, Mr. Ali Cheema, VC, LUMS, Dr. Faisal Bari, Dean of the LUMS School of Education and Javed Malik, Country Director, Malala Fund.
