In a robust initiative to curb electricity theft and recover outstanding payments, the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) launched extensive operations in Thatta and Makli. Spearheaded by SDO Thatta Ismail Bhatti and SDO Makli Ali Raza Kharl, the raids were carried out with substantial police support.
During these coordinated efforts, HESCO teams successfully apprehended nine individuals involved in illegal electricity use. Additionally, over 50 unauthorized connections were dismantled, with the confiscated equipment providing clear evidence of the violations. Several FIRs were lodged against offenders as part of the crackdown.
SDO Ismail Bhatti and SDO Ali Raza Kharl highlighted that these operations were conducted under the directives from senior HESCO leadership, including the CEO, Assistant Commissioner, and Executive Engineer of Thatta. They reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating electricity theft and ensuring compliance with regulations, reflecting HESCO’s ongoing dedication to enhancing the reliability and fairness of power distribution in the area.
