Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the development needs and grievances of the merged districts, emphasizing the fulfillment of promises made to tribal communities during the merger process.
During a significant meeting with former Federal Minister Hamidullah Jan Afridi at the Governor House Peshawar, Governor Kundi assured that efforts would be intensified to redress the longstanding deprivations faced by tribal people. Concerns regarding taxation issues raised by the tribal populace were also addressed, with the governor pledging a comprehensive resolution to the matter.
Highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation in the merged districts, particularly in the Tirah valley of Khyber district, Hamidullah Jan briefed the governor. In response, Governor Kundi assured proactive measures to enhance security across all merged districts, emphasizing the crucial role of local tribal elders and youth in fostering peace and stability.
Acknowledging Governor Kundi’s advocacy for the amalgamated districts at the federal level, including the pursuit of the NFC award and allocation of significant annual funds amounting to 100 billion rupees, Hamidullah Jan lauded his efforts in winning the hearts of tribal communities.
