“I cannot describe my feeling of winning the World Billiards Championship here in the King-dom,” Gorst said after winning the decisive 29th frame. A hill-hill match is one in which the score is tied and the winner is the player who secures the final frame.

“The atmosphere was wonderful, the fans pro-vided indescribable support, and the organization was amazing, by all standards. Without a doubt, it was an experience,” said the American, who also pocketed $250,000 for his win.

“It is exceptional and I will not forget it through the warm welcome we received throughout our stay here, and I will certainly come back again,” Gorst said after the final match, which stretched to 29 racks.—APP
