In a relentless crackdown on anti-social elements, Attock Police have apprehended 11 individuals involved in the smuggling of narcotics across the district. Under the directive of District Police Officer Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, the police force has intensified efforts to curb drug trafficking activities in the region.
The operation yielded significant results, with sub-stantial quantities of illegal substances seized from various locations. Among the arrested suspects, Danish Ali, hailing from Mirza, was found in pos-session of 1420 grams of hashish, while 1260 grams were confiscated from another individual in the same area. In Hasan Abdal, Islamabad, 800 grams of hashish were intercepted by law enforcement authorities.
Furthermore, Fateh Jang police successfully appre-hended drug smugglers Muhammad Ashfaq, Mu-hammad Adnan, and Mazhar Iqbal, along with the seizure of illicit drugs. Noor Elahi from Fateh Jang was found with 1500 grams of hashish, while Ma-zhar Iqbal, son of Mushtaq Ahmed, was caught with 1400 grams of the illegal substance.
In separate incidents, Bahtar police intercepted Niaz Hussain and Muhammad Niaz, seizing pure hashish during routine checks. Meanwhile, Jund police sta-tion uncovered 1400 grams of hashish during a search operation, resulting in the arrest of Muham-mad Fayaz and Irfan Khan.
District Police Officer Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that drug dealers pose a significant threat to society. He reaffirmed the commitment of Attock Police to eradicate such nefarious activities from the region, ensuring a safer community for all residents.
The arrested individuals have been charged under the Narcotics Act and remanded into custody.
