In a major joint operation, Pakistan Rangers and the Counter-Terrorism Department have apprehended the highly sought-after gang commander, Ameer Jan alias Bablu, linked to the Lyari gang war. The arrest took place in Lyari, and illegal weapons and ammunition used in various crimes were also seized from the suspect. According to detailed reports, Ameer Jan joined the Lyari gang war under the MabBaloch/UzairBaloch group in 2014. He has been actively involved in clashes with rival factions, extorting money from traders, and engaging in drug trafficking alongside his associates MullaNisar and MabBaloch. During initial interrogation, Amir Jan admitted to collaborating with his associate Rajan alias Raju in a shooting incident at the residence of Khan Muhammad alias Bhai Jan in Safi Lane. CCTV footage captured Amir Jan firing shots during this attack. His accomplices, Rajan alias Raju and BhaiShehryar, were previously arrested by CTD police on charges of extortion and shooting, with Amir Jan being declared a fugitive in those cases.
