More rains, gusty winds expected in Lahore, parts of Punjab

LAHORE – More intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over Pakistan’s upper and central parts.

Under these weather conditions, more intermittent rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Jhang, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Lahore, Kasur and Okara on Thursday night and the following two days.

Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 39-41°C on Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Lahore and at isolated places in Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 40 per cent.

In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 26 per cent.
