Tessori meets football legend Michael Owen to discuss global league in Pakistan

Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori met with world-renowned footballer Michael Owen at the Governor House to discuss the launch of a global football league in Pakistan and the promotion of the sport. The meeting was also attended by internationally acclaimed players Henry Chimbonda Pascal and Navarro Raul Rodriguez, along with the delegation of the Pakistan Football League.

The discussions centered on the establishment of the Pakistan Football League, nurturing global-standard players, and other related matters.

Governor Tessori expressed optimism about the initiative, highlighting that the league would positively project Pakistan’s image on the international stage and boost interest in football within the country. He remarked, “The global enthusiasm for football can help cultivate world-class players in Pakistan.” Michael Owen acknowledged the talent present in Pakistan, emphasizing that proper training could significantly enhance local players’ skills.

He also appreciated Governor Tessori’s enthusiasm for promoting the sport, believing it would play a crucial role in its development. In a gesture of goodwill, Governor Tessori presented Michael Owen, Pascal Henry Chimbonda, and Navarro Raul Rodriguez with traditional Sindhi ajraks, caps, and shields. Other participants were also gifted Sindhi ajraks and caps, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of the province.
