Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing & Town Planning, and Public Health Engineering SaeedGhani chaired a departmental promotion committee meeting of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA). The session included KDA Director General Syed ShujaatHussain, Member Technical and Chief Engineer Tariq Rafi, Member Finance Relli Ender, and other officials.
During the meeting, the promotion of Deputy Director Finance BPS-18 KashifSiddiqui to Director Finance and Accounts KDA, and Deputy Secretary BPS-18 MoeenuddinAtharKazmi to Secretary KDA in grade 19, was approved. Provincial Minister SaeedGhani instructed the DG KDA to include the working papers for these promotions in the minutes and send them promptly. He emphasized that employee promotions are their right and should be carried out for all eligible staff according to the law. DG KDA ShujaatHussain highlighted that employees are the backbone of any institution and that protecting their rights is the responsibility of the institution’s leadership.
He assured that he is committed to ensuring all necessary actions are taken to secure employees’ rightful entitlements. Following the meeting, SaeedGhani distributed appointment letters to 14 family members of deceased employees under the death quota. DG KDA Syed ShujaatHussain, Tariq Rafi, KDA Labour Union Patron-in-Chief Muhammad Ashraf, and others were also present on the occasion.
