ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that Eidul Adha 2024 is most likely to fall on June 17 (Monday).
The PMD’s Climate Data Processing Centre forecast that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
“The moon’s age in Karachi at sunset will be 26 hours and 8 minutes,” it said, adding that “the moon is expected to be visible for 72 minutes after sunset.”
However, the final decision about moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Eidul Adha 2024 Holidays in Pakistan
According to 2024 holiday calendar, the holidays will be observed from June 17 to 19 on account of Eidul Fitr. Technically, the holidays will begin from June 15 as most of the government offices remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
In case, the Eidul Adha falls on June 18, it is expected that the schedule for holidays would be revised. The federal government will issue a notification days before the Eidul Adha 2024 in this regard.
