LAHORE – Two children lost their lives after they consumed substandard noodles in Manawan area of Lahore, the capital city of Punjab province.
The deceased have been identified as 11-year-old Maryam and 9-year-old Rafay. The mother of the children told media that she had bought two packet of noodles from Baghbanpura Bazar.
The woman said she cooked the noodles for her kids after reaching home, adding that their condition deteriorated soon after consuming the food.
The siblings were shifted to hospital for treatment but they could not survive.
Police have launched legal action after parents of the victims refused to register a case.
