Martyred Army Capt, Havaldar buried with honours

Captain Hussain Jahangir Shaheed and Havaldar Shafiq Ullah Shaheed martyred during intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district have been buried with full military honours in their native areas on Monday.

A large number of senior serving military officers, families of the martyrs and local people participated in the funeral prayers of the martyrs. It may be mentioned here that the security forces had conducted an intelligence-based operation in Peshawar and killed five terrorists and injured three on Sunday.

During the intense exchange of fire, Pak Army officer Captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafiq Ullah were martyred. The operation was carried out in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar following reports of terrorists’ presence.

Security forces effectively located the terrorists’ hideout, resulting in the elimination of five terrorists. ISPR reported that Captain Hussain Jahangir, who led the operation, hailed from Rahim Yar Khan while 36-year-old Havaldar Shafiq Ullah was from Karak district and was survived by his wife, a son, and two daughters.—NNI
