Prime Minister Mr. Nadir Larbaoui said, as the representative of President of Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the International Development Association Summit – IDA21- Nairobi 29/04/2024 “ In addition, supporting development in Africa is linked to accelerating the pace of continental integration and implementing the African Union Agenda 2063, which is what Algeria is working on embodying, especially by envisioning a merger of its national projects and the completion of other development projects followed by neighboring African countries.
Algeria, which has always advocated the issue of development in Africa and played a pioneering role in the collective effort to establish a new, just and comprehensive economic system, looks forward to making this important meeting a platform for sharing experiences and sharing successful experiences to enrich the discussion and explore the best ways to advance development on our continent.
From this standpoint, I would like to point out the profound economic reforms that Algeria has initiated to build a new economic model based on diversifying the economy, creating wealth, and liberating the spirit of initiative. Thanks to these efforts, my country, Algeria, has achieved a tangible increase in its gross domestic product during the last two years, which has enabled the enhancement of social gains, support of investment, and financing the development of baseline infrastructure”.

Prime Minister Mr. Nadir Larbaoui added “At the heart of these reforms was the issuance of a new legal system for investment that includes many advantages and incentives and establishes legal stability, transparency, and parallelism between foreign and national investors. These reforms also established a new system for granting economic real estate intended for investment according to a transparent economic approach, as well as a comprehensive review of the monetary and banking law, diversifying financing offers, and opening Agencies for Algerian banks abroad, especially on the African continent.
He concluded “On the social level, the state is constantly working to achieve social justice and enable citizens to access quality services in all fields. This balanced approach has allowed for reconciling the requirements of development and devoting the state’s social commitment, which has made Algeria occupy a pioneering position in achieving the goals of sustainable development on our continent”.
