ISLAMABAD – Police have registered a case against unknown transgender persons for an attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan in the federal capital.
The case has been registered in the Abpara police station against the suspect under charges of attempt to murder and others on a complaint lodged by the Hasan.
According to the FIR, Raoof Hasan was heading towards his car park after participating in a TV program when he was attacked.
An individual who appears to be a transgender person intercepted him and launched the assault. During the incident, three more individuals attacked him.
The FIR states that an attempt was made to cut his throat with a sharp object to cause fatal injury. When Raoof Hasan moved to save himself, he sustained injury on his face.
