ISLAMABAD – The federal government has decided to construct two underpasses in the federal capital to ensure smooth flow of traffic on roads.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting in this regard where he was informed that the preliminary design of the underpasses had been chalked out.
The interior minister directed to complete the underpasses in minimum time.
Location of New Under Passes
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said one underpass will be built at Serena Chowk and the other on Srinagar highway.
Traffic from different roads, including Constitution Avenue, Club Road (Murree Road), Srinagar Highway, and Attaturk Avenue, among others, converges on Sarena Chown intersection, leading to congestion during peak hours.
Alternate Routes
The city managers will announce the alternate routes once the construction on the underpasses is started.
