International Museum Day celebrated

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) celebrated International Museum Day here on Monday. A ceremony was organized at the State Bank Museum in which children of Zindagi Trust School and SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls College participated.

The children participated in Indigo Dye, paintings and pottery making activities and showcased their skills.

The International Museum Day is celebrated every year with a different theme and this year the theme is “Museum for Education and Research”.

A visitor expressed that it was a wonderful opportunity for children to enhance their knowledge and utilize the same in their activities. On the occasion, the students said that it was great to come to the museum and they got an opportunity to express their talent and also learnt a lot from this activity.

The objective of celebrating this day was to raise awareness about the fact that museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of culture and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and wellbeing among people.
