Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi discusses expansion of ties, cooperation with Saudi envoy

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Saudi envoy Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy discussed the expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation.

Naqvi visited the Saudi embassy in Pakistan on Saturday and held discussions centered around strengthening bilateral ties between Islamabad and Riyadh across various sectors.

During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation for the development of Islamabad police.

Saudi envoy Nawaf assured full cooperation in this regard, emphasizing Kingdom’s all out support for  Pakistan’s law enforcement efforts.

Minister Naqvi thanked the Saudi Ambassador for helping young members of the Frontier Corps (FC) with their accommodation needs. The meeting also covered the anticipated visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to Pakistan, which is highly awaited by Pakistanis.

Beyond bilateral issues, the conversation included humanitarian topics, such as providing travel documents for Muslims in Burma. Minister Naqvi highlighted the growing strength of the bilateral relationship, pointing out the successful visit of Saudi investors to Pakistan as a sign of deepening economic ties between the two countries.

He emphasized that the forthcoming visit of the Saudi Crown Prince would be transformative, marking a significant milestone in the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship. Ambassador Nawaf reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Pakistan through various challenges and expressed a strong willingness to collaborate extensively to modernize the Islamabad Police with the latest technology.

Mohsin Naqvi reiterated Saudi Arabia’s high regard for its relationship with Pakistan, emphasizing the importance both nations place on their partnership.
