Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi vows support for upgraded CPEC in meeting with Dar
BEIJING – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed determination to accelerate progress on all projects of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In a statement, Wang Yi said Beijing is ready to collaborate with Pakistan to enhance the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), during his meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is in China to co-chair 5th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue and will also meet with Chinese leaders, officials, and business representatives.
During his stay, Dar affirmed Pakistan’s strong dedication to furthering the security and development cooperation agenda of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the SCO Charter and the organization’s core principles, known as the ‘Shanghai Spirit.’
