Governor Punjab SardarSaleemHaider Khan has said that the spiritual personalities of the country have always taught the lesson of peace and brotherhood due to which patience and tolerance exist in our societies.
He stated this while talking to media persons on the occasion of his visits to Durbar e AliyaGolra Sharif and Bari Imam. He laid floral wreaths on the graves of spiritual personalities and religious elders, and offered Fatiha.
Pir Syed Nizamuddin Jami Geelani, the SajadaNasheen of DarbarAliyaGolra Sharif, welcomed Governor Punjab SardarSaleemHaider Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, SardarSaleemHaider Khan said that those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country are the real heroes of the country and every Pakistani is proud of their martyrs.
He said that the soldiers of Pakistan protect the borders of the country even in the dark of night and are always ready to sacrifice their lives and we pay our respects to all of them. He said that he assures his armed forces that the people of Pakistan stand side by side with them.
He said that the country was going through a difficult situation regarding inflation and terrorism, but to face all these challenges we have to unite and take the country on the path of development with mutual trust and tolerance. He said that we should make efforts for the survival and development of this country keeping all our political, religious and social affiliations aside.
The Governor Punjab said that political parties have come together for the sake of the country and he will play the role of a bridge for political stability and cooperation in Punjab. He said that the situation in Azad Kashmir is unfortunate, but the government has accepted all demands of the protesters, after which law and order should be restored.
SardarSaleemHaider said Rawalpindi division was also the land of saints like every part of the country and due to these great personalities, Islam has spread in this country and peace and brotherhood has become common.
