Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; day temperatures likely to rise gradually

PESHAWAR – Mainly hot and dry weather is predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. Day temperatures will likely rise gradually in southern districts during this week.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under the influence of these conditions, hot and dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and the following two days. Day temperatures will likely rise gradually in southern districts due to lack of rains. Rain-thunderstorms may occur in Chitral and Swat during Wednesday evening/night.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperatures will likely remain between 35-37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 31 per cent.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 28 per cent.
