Through its indiscriminate public service in Karachi, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has proved wrong the widely held notion that the PPP does not serve in areas where it has no vote bank. Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani said this on Saturday while speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate the Eidgah Ground in Korangi after its renovation and beautification.

Ghani said a transformed Karachi after many development works completed by the PPP’s Sindh government had nullified the allegation against the PPP that the party did not give due attention on the development of the provincial capital because its people did not vote for the party.

He maintained that the PPP’s Sindh government had delivered in all parts of Karachi, including Korangi. The provincial government had built highways, roads and flyovers in the Korangi area, he said. The local government minister was of the view that the under-construction mega project of the Malir Expressway, once completed, would massively benefit the residents of Korangi.
