KARACHI – Solar panel prices in Pakistan saw another decline amid reports of imposition of taxes on residential and commercial setups in the country.

Traders told media that the price of solar panels in Pakistan dropped by 30 percent in last six months, which is a good for buyers.

They revealed that the massive decline in prices was witnessed due to higher supply of the solar panels in the market.

They said per watt price of solar panel has dipped below Rs40 in Pakistan.

The average price of per watt solar panel in Pakistan stands at Rs37, said the traders amid fears of further decline in the rates.

As of May 2024, the solar panel plates for 7-kilowatts system will now cost Rs259,000 in Pakistan.
