KARACHI – Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves reached $14,458.9 million as of May 03, 2024.
As per the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday, foreign reserved held by the central bank stood at $9,120.3 million. Net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks stood at $ 5,338.6 million as of May03, 2024.
During the week ended on May 03, 2024, SBP’s reserves increased by $1,114 million to $9,120.3 million mainly due to receipt of $1.1 billion from International Monetary Fund (IMF) as final tranche under SBA program.
